What are you believing God for?

Beth Hobbs

Rise is next week. Before you gather, Beth is asking: what are you believing God for?

Rise is next week

Hi lovely,

Rise is next week!!

I can’t quite believe I’m writing that… it always comes around so fast!

Behind the scenes, things are definitely ramping up. There are lists everywhere, emails flying backwards and forwards, last-minute things to sort and probably several things I’ve forgotten about 😂.

I’ve been praying about you

But do you know what I’ve actually been thinking about most?

Not numbers.

Not whether everything goes perfectly.

Not even whether I remember everything I’m supposed to say!

I’ve been praying about you.

I’ve been praying that women walk into that room and meet with Jesus.

And so I want to ask you a question before we gather:

What are you believing God for?

What do you want me to do for you?

Jesus asks a man called Bartimaeus a question that I’ve always found fascinating:

“What do you want me to do for you?”

Jesus knew what he needed, but he still invited him to name it.

So what would you say if Jesus asked you that question today?

Maybe you need direction, maybe you need peace, maybe there’s something you’ve been praying about for years.

Maybe you just want to feel close to God again.

Come expectant

…Whatever it is, bring it.

You don’t need to arrive at Rise with everything sorted.

Come as you are.

But come expectant.

Gather. Grow. Go.

Gather

If you’re coming with someone, ask her what she’s believing God for too.

Grow

Read Mark 10:46–52 and imagine Jesus asking you that same question.

Go

Write your answer down: Jesus, this is what I’m bringing to You…

Before you go

We’re preparing the room.

Will you prepare your heart?

I genuinely cannot wait to gather with you next week.

Love, Beth x
